EPIC announces new partnerships with small studios
The Epic Games industry giant has associated with smaller studios on the right, right and center. Following their partnership with Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind the recent Alan Wake Remaster (and according to Rumor Alan Wake 2), the former independent Playdead developer who created Inside and Limbo, as well as Gendesign which is led by the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and Last Guardian, Fumito Ueda, EPIC announced this morning 2 new partnerships. Spry Fox, creators of Cozy Grove as well as Eyes Out which is the new studio founded by SPEC OPS: the creative director of The Line Cory Davis and the guitarist of Nine Inch Nails Robin Finck.
We have very little information about the new games of each of these studios, being limited to having only one description phrase of each. SPRY Fox is about to create a non-violent and multiplatform multiplayer multiplayer title . Persistent multiplayer is an interesting concept that has not been explored in the world of the game, because the most noticeable inclusion was in Death Stranding 2019, which used the persistent multiplayer design template to incorporate the buildings from other players In your world of play. It will be interesting to see how the little studio integrates it into its game. Since their last title Cozy Grove was a simulation of life, we could theorize they will incorporate a persistent world in a style of Similar game. That being said, it s nothing more than speculation.
According to rumors, the first game of Eyes Out would be a immersive cosmic horror game to a player . Since the successful game of Cory Davis, Spec Ops: The Line, with elegantly covered such dark and disturbing content and that Robin Finck is famous for his contributions to the strange Quake soundtrack, this game should be unforgettable. We look forward to seeing what these studios have in reserve, given the enormous resources that EPIC has to offer.
For now, keep an eye on COGCONNECTD for more information on these new titles and studios as their projects grow.
