LOL - LCS: North America returns to change the competition structure

The Organization of Legends Championship Series (LCS) are a collection of digital sports competitors around the Mob League of Legends. There are NA LCS in North America and also Less (Ex-LCS EU) in Europe. There are two editions a year, called Split Spring as well as Summer Season Split.

This is not new for anyone and North America has fought against an international wall for many years. More rest and fewer parties : The backbone of the LCS will remain the same as this year with a season of three segments: Lock-In, Spring and Summer. However, there will be less regular season games. The league will use the LEC model with the two main segments that offer 8 weeks of competition. 6 normal weeks with 2 days of match and 2 Super weeks with 3 days of match. In short: teams will have more rest and will play fewer games. The organizers also added a rest of a week on both sides. An extra week of rest between MSI and Summer Split and one week more between the regular seasons and the playoffs.

The creation of a Super-Server : This novelty concerns professional players but also other players with great ELO. While ping in North America is often criticized, new and more powerful servers will host games with the best players in the region. This type of servers are already in operation in China, with several high-level servers distributed throughout the country. It remains to be seen from what ELO we are interested. More effort in Proving Grounds : Riot Games will also restructure Proving Grounds, which often serve as a search for future American talents. LCS players often stand out because the region performs many imports, but Riot Games will restructure the amateur circuit in particular to integrate it more into the Academy LCS circuit and guarantee a better continuity, we are not making sure that the new Faker is American, but they are in the right direction.
