PlayStation Plus Leak potentially reveals the first free game for October
A recent filtration related to an upcoming PlayStation game could be causing one of the first free games we could receive at PlayStation Plus in the month of October. Although there is no guaranteed way of knowing if this filtered game will really be part of PS Plus next month, the title in question seems to be launched on the same day that new free titles should reach the subscription service.
During the last day, a new list appeared on several retail sites for Alan Wake Remastered. It is said that this new version of the popular 2010 launch will reach platforms PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on October 5, which is the first time of the title, since it was previously only available in Xbox and PC hardware. Although the developer Remedy Entertainment has not confirmed that this new remaster of Alan Wake come to fruition, additional reports have indicated that the game is very real and should be announced in the coming days.
The way in which An Wake Remastered could be associated with PlayStation Plus lies on the prospective launch date of the game. As mentioned, it is said that the title will be launched on October 5. This is also the same day at which Sony should boost its line of games live for PS Plus in the month. In general, the PS Plus titles are published on the first Tuesday of any month. It turns out that on October 5 is next month's first Tuesday.
It is also worth noting that Sony has shown its will in 2021 to launch new games at PlayStation Plus immediately. Some of the games that have reached PS4 and PS5 in this way throughout 2021 include oddworld: SOVSTORM, SOMESTRATION ALLSTARS_, and A plague tale: Innocence (for PS5) to name a few. As such, maybe there is a good chance that An Wake Remastered could join these titles and be free immediately for PS4 and PS5 users who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
